Hemm tlett sinjali għal BOTT jew CONTAINER. L-ewwel sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal TIN OPENER. Dan isir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ T, id waħda bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u l-oħra ’l isfel waqt li din l-id titqiegħed fuq it-tarf tal-wiċċ tal-id l-oħra imbagħad tinżel mal-ġenb. L-idejn iduru flimkien ’il ġewwa. (ii) Imbagħad, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ L ttundjata u ddur u toħroġ ftit lejn il-ġenb bil-pala tħares ’il barra. It-tieni sinjal l-istess bħat-tieni parti tal-ewwel sinjal. It-tielet sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ L kkurvata bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn il-pala l-oħra. L-idejn jitqiegħdu ’l bogħod minn xulxin u jinżlu dritt ’l isfel. Dan is-sinjal normalment jintuża għal landa kbira ħafna.

There are three signs for TIN or CAN. The first sign has two parts. (i) The first part is the sign for TIN OPENER. This is made with both hands in the shape of T, one hand with palm facing inwards and the other downwards. This last hand is held at the top edge of the other hand and then moves down to the side. The hands move round inwards together. (ii) The second part is made with one hand in the shape of curved L that turns a little towards the side with palm facing outwards. The second sign is the same as the second part of the first sign. The third sign is made with both hands in the shape of curved L with palms facing each other. The hands are placed away from each other and move straight down. This sign is usually made for very large tins.
